Successfully redeemed my voucher last year but never got around to writing up a review. I was surprised to find that this place was located in a food court inside a very quiet mall that was anchored by a Korean supermarket. Because the paper voucher wasn't too clear on the redemption price, and they no longer offer the food specified on the voucher, she requested me to dig up the purchase details on my phone. After some back and forth negotiation (and it was towards the closing time anyway), ... 更多she finally allowed me to redeem $20 worth of cakes and paid the difference and tax in cash. We also chatted quite a bit on how the store came about, on how her husband learnt cake making in France, on how her son issued the voucher deal without consulting with them, etc. In any case, the cakes tasted awesome and we plan to be back for more.

Ordered 1. Steamed soup filled buns with pork; 2. Pan fried pork buns; 3. chicken wine dish; and 4. Deep fried white egg balls stuffed red bean paste. The soup filled buns didn't contain as much soup as I expected. The pan fried ones were not worth the higher price because it's the same size as the steamed ones, just extra pan-fried after steaming. Ate there last night. Server gave us 2 menus, told us if there're any difference between the 2 menus, the paper menu is the more accurate one. I wrongly assumed that if there're any difference, it would be in price only. Thus we selected items from the main menu (since it includes pictures), and then my friend checked off the corresponding number on the paper menu. To our horror, dishes different from what we ordered were coming to our table. We then realized the dish numbers on the 2 menus... 更多 are totally different! The paper menu only displays the Chinese names of the dishes, and it so happens that my friend ticking off the numbers can't read Chinese! Since the dishes were already prepared, we had no choice but to accept what were put on the table. We had a deep fried pork dish that offered the most minimal meat I've ever seen. Then came a bowl of soup that tasted good but only because of MSG. Next, a Korean cabbage dish that tasted just OK. The only dish that accurately reflects what we wanted to order is the lamb one. Lamb meat was soft but the taste was not really that fresh. Overall, the experience was acceptable and we may give it another chance.

Had a bowl of braised pork on rice. It's actually pretty good and filling. The meat was quite generous, included a few broccoli pieces too. The place on a weekday dinner time was rather empty, perhaps due to poor location? The owner decorates the place well, with ornaments and colorful stickies of customer feedback written all over. The background music suits my style too. Fast wifi availability was also a nice touch. The owner seems pretty friendly. Would love to return some time to try... 更多 other dishes.

Ordered their lamb pot, fish head pot, egg yolk pumpkins and soup-based buns. The lamb pot was on special and includes lots of veggies, a steal for $20. Fish head pot was a favourite with my friends. Pumpkins was OK, more of an acquired taste. The buns was not as good as another restaurant we recently tried. The cook was very nice and willing to come out and chat. Ordered vegetarian stew with bean curd sauce, in addition to Lohan vegetarian crispy noodles. The stew came with quite a variety of vegetables. The noodles arrived with a portion already dipped in sauce and made soft, with the majority left crispy and dried, which satisfied both mine and my friend's different preferences. Overall, great food with minimum MSG detected.

Ordered 3 skewers of shrimps, seafood and chicken hotpot, fried lamb meat, and pancake. The shrimps were pretty large and tasty. The hotpot was disappointing as the only seafood were 4 pieces of mussels. There were plenty of chicken though, but pretty bony. The lamb was good as it was mixed with vegetables that blended well with the meat. The pancake was just plain flour, not even green onions put on there. Visited their Richmond Hill location this time and ordered their new version of steamed soup filled buns with pork, jellyfish with cucumber, and pork jelly cake. The jellyfish didn't taste as salty like other places, so I love the one here much better. The pork jelly is for me, a great comfort food. The buns are pretty tasty, although I've tasted juicier ones elsewhere. Overall, a great dining experience with no MSG detected. Will be back!
